Regardless of age and gender, a lifted V-shaped face and neck is always in high demand. At Zoe Medical, we offer patients a customised treatment plan to address all 4-dimensions of the face and neck to achieve a long-lasting V-shaped look aka the 4D V-Lift.
Face & Neck
4D V-Lift

What is the 4D V-Lift?
4-Dimensions of V-Lift
Planar Mid-Face/Flat Cheeks
Majority of Asians are born with a planar mid-face or flat cheeks – which gives a wide appearance to the facial outline. The 4D V-Lift treats this by melting fat along the side of the cheeks and increases forward projection by grafting fat into the cheek mound. Thus, resulting in a narrower and more enhanced mid-face.
Square Jawline
Most Asians also have a broad lower face or a squared jawline – which is a result of excess fat, strong muscles and thick skin. The 4D V-Lift tightens the skin with Ulthera, melts the fat with an internal laser and reduces the muscle thickness with deep radio-frequency. Thus, resulting in a slimmer and more-defined lower jawline.
Sagging Jowls
Also known as ‘Bulldog Jawline’ – sagging jowls is a condition that affects most Asians and can be more prevalent to those who are 50 years old and above. A combination of an internal laser then lifts the sagging jowls, and external High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) resulting in a smoother and tighter lower face complementing the enhanced cheeks and slimmer jawline.
Double Chin and Loose Neck
Upon reshaping the face, the neck will also require some enhancement. Majority of Asians have a thick upper neck area, also known as a ‘double chin’, and loose skin around the mid-neck area. Treating these problems will result in a defined neckline and smoothen out any neck wrinkles, complementing the patient’s new V-shaped face!

At Zoe Medical, patients will require to sit in various consultations with both the aesthetic specialist and doctor, to receive our recommended customised treatment. Each patient’s treatment will vary in accordance to facial anatomy, needs and preferences.

The 4D V-Lift is beneficial to patients regardless of age or severity of skin laxity, and the treatment can be tailored to work as an anti-aging procedure or address visible signs of aging.
Acne Control & Scar Removal
Acne – a skin condition which occurs when hair follicles are plugged with oil and dead skin cells – often causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimple breakouts. Over the years, there have been many treatment solutions for different stages of acne problems.
At Zoe Medical, we provide customisable treatments to patients as we understand that everyone has different skin conditions and healing abilities. Hence, ensuring the skin receives the remedy it needs for optimal care and results.

Treatment Method
The severity of acne present can be controlled using a combination of the following: oral medication, topical and laser treatments or light therapy. Either of the treatment helps to reduce acne activity, prevent breakouts and prevents unsightly scars. During treatment, patients will require to change their skincare regime and include acne control – which will speed up the recovery process.

Oral Medication
Calms acne-prone skin, control sebum production and reduce skin inflammation.

Light Therapy
Light therapy with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits to eliminate bacteria responsible for acne breakouts.

Anti-Acne Facials
Removes dead skin cells, reduce bacteria build-up and speed up the skin renewal process.

Acne Laser Treatments
Tighten pores, reduce inflammation, exfoliate, reduce sebum protection, prevent new breakouts, and remove black or white heads for a pore-deep cleaning effect.
CONTROL BREAKOUTS WITH MEDICATION & ACNE LASER TREATMENT
Depending on the severity of the acne problem, it can be controlled using a combination of the following oral medication, topical and laser treatments:

ACNE SCAR REMOVAL & LIGHTENING
Patients with a history of acne may have skin discolouration or residual scars – ice pick scars, rolling
scars or boxcar scars. These scars can be treated with various types of lasers. As such, sequential scar
lightening treatments can improve skin discolouration and reduce depressions responsible for
uneven skin tone and texture.
Severe depression, fractional laser or other lasers administered on the surface of the skin has its
limitations resulting in less significant improvements. Treating scars with severe depressions will
require laser subcision – for scar rejuvenation. The treatment method will produce better results to
the skin texture, appearance and elasticity.
Laser Subcision
Laser subcision is done by running a laser probe between the upper and lower layers of the skin. This
helps to induce the regeneration of collagen and acne scar removal or remodelling by encouraging
the body’s natural healing mechanisms – to replace damaged scar tissues with healthy, non-
pigmented tissues.
The skin then undergoes a natural healing process that removes unsightly scarring, pigmented markings and smoothens pock marks. In most cases, one acne scar treatmentb will improve depressions within seven days.

Fillers
FILLERS
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps provide fullness and
elasticity. Hyaluronic acid gradually decreases as we age, causing the skin to lose volume while
increasing the chances of wrinkles and folds to appear. As such, dermal fillers can help counter this
by filling in facial lines and creases, thus, resulting in a volumised and plumped effect.
CAN BE USED FOR:

PURPOSE OF USAGE:
The procedure requires the injection of micro-needles into the dermis, which is gently massaged in
to ensure that it spreads across the treated area to fill creases and wrinkles.
The procedure requires minimal downtime and the results are almost immediate and can last for up to nine to 12 months.
Over at Zoe Medical, we use Restylane, Radiesse and fat-free grafting. If you are considering fillers
that will last for a long time, opt for fat-free grafting!
Threadlift
A non-surgical procedure, the threadlift is a minimally-invasive facelift technique which uses sutures
– commonly referred to as threads. The threads are inserted beneath the skin to reposition sagging
skin or plump up wrinkles and lines, thus, resulting in a semi-permanent lifting effect apart from skin
regeneration benefits. To sum it up, it improves the quality of skin tone.

Types of Dissolvable Threadlift
Mild Threadlift
Dissolvable thread lift uses FDA-approved PDO threads that are naturally broken down by the body’s
enzymes. Commonly used to regenerate collagen and elastin fibres, they are vital for anti-ageing,
and it helps to improve wrinkles, and firms and lifts the skin for a slimmer V-line effect. A PDO
thread lift can last for up to one or more years, depending on the patient’s lifestyle and habits.
Moderate ThreadLift – MEGA V-Lift
The dissolvable threads used for moderate lifts come with mini barbs for better grip to allow skin
tissues to adhere better. It produces better lifting results – making it a good option for those who
want a more dramatic facelift post-procedure without any downtime.
Both threads and barbs will eventually, be broken down by the body’s enzymes enabling new collagen and elastin fibres to fill in – giving the skin a tighter and lifted feel. A moderate thread lift can also be used to achieve effects to that of a brow lift, facelift and neck lift surgery, and can last for up to three or more years depending on the patient’s lifestyle and habits.
Upon consulting with our in-house surgeon, one will be recommended a selected number of threads
to undergo to achieve one’s desired results.

Botulinum Toxin

What is Botulinum Toxin?
Botulinum Toxin (BoNT-A) is the active ingredient used in a treatment that is commonly known today as Botox. In reality, there are many different brands of Botulinum Toxin such as Dysport, Xeomin and Botox. Zoe Medical likes to use Allergan Botox.

How does a Botox procedure work?
The active ingredient BoNT-A works by temporarily altering nerve signals sent to the muscles for contractions. This results in muscle relaxation, and hence prevents dynamic facial lines from forming. That is why a Botox treatment is commonly used for removing facial lines and wrinkles. But it can also be used for a whole host of other areas.
Which areas can Botox treat?
Difference between Botox and fillers
Even though Botox and fillers are both injectables, they are very different in terms of their ingredients and usage. Botox treatment uses BoNT-A as mentioned above, while fillers use biodegradable gels that replenishes volume and moisture in the skin e.g. Hyaluronic Acid. You can read more about fillers here.
How many sessions are needed for Botox?
The number of sessions needed depends very much on the purpose and area of treatment. Botox is usually administered via units, and different areas require a different units. This will also determine the number of sessions required.
For instance, removing facial lines will require two to three sessions whist body contouring requires more for better and longer lasting results.
How long do results last?
Treatment via Botox can last for about three to 12 months depending on the treated areas, frequency of treatment, as well as individual body conditions.
Recovery and downtime
The Botox treatment is administered via injection, and hence is minimally invasive and involves little downtime.
One session usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the area of treatment. Numbing cream will also be applied to provide maximum comfort.
You should avoid exercise for the next 24 to 48 hours and alcohol for at least six hours after treatment.
Are there any side effects?
It is normal to experience some side effects after a Botox procedure which include mild swelling or bruising and redness at the injected site. These will usually clear within a few hours. It is also possible to experience a mild headache after treatment, though occurrences are rare.
